This explains what we collect when you use ommani.co.uk, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Who we are
OMMANI LTD (company number 16578295), registered at Bois Mill, Latimer Road, Chesham, Buckinghamshire HP5 1TP is the controller of your personal data. Contact us at hello@ommani.co.uk.
What we collect and why
- Your account. If you create one, we store your email address and a securely hashed password, along with any bracelets you save. We use this to sign you in and to keep your saved stones.
- Your order. Checkout and payment are handled by Shopify. We do not see or store your card details. We keep a record of the order so we can make and send your bracelet, and — where you give one — the wrist measurement for a tailored fit.
- How the site is used. We use Meta (Facebook) Pixel, Google Analytics and PostHog to understand which pages and products people look at. This includes your IP address, browser and the pages you visit.
- Advertising measurement. When you view a product, add to bag, begin checkout or buy, we send that event to Meta both from your browser and from our server. If you are signed in, your email address is hashed before it is sent — Meta receives a scrambled value, not your address — so they can tell whether an advert led to a sale.
Who we share it with
Shopify (orders and payment), Supabase (accounts and saved items), Vercel (hosting), Meta, Google and PostHog (analytics and advertising measurement), and OpenAI — which powers the Stone Matcher when what you type needs interpreting. We do not sell your data.
Some of these process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent safeguards.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your bag and your session working, and for the analytics and advertising measurement described above. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site will stop working if you block the essential ones.
How long we keep it
Order records for six years, as tax law requires. Account data until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data for up to 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it for advertising measurement. Email hello@ommani.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
