The meaning behind the name
The name OMMANI is inspired by the ancient Buddhist mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, which I encountered throughout Nepal.
At the heart of the mantra is mani — the jewel.
For me, its meaning goes beyond jewellery. It speaks to the idea that the things we seek outside ourselves can often remind us of something already within us.
That is how I think about gemstones.
I don’t believe a stone changes who you are. I do believe it can stand for something.
An intention.
A feeling.
A reminder.
Something small you can wear every day that brings you back to what matters.
I wanted to do this differently
When I started looking at gemstone jewellery, I noticed that most brands begin with the product.
Here are the stones.
Here are the colours.
Choose the one you like.
I wanted OMMANI to start somewhere else.
With you.
How are you feeling? What are you dealing with? What do you want more of in your life?
That is why I created the OMMANI Stone Matcher. It helps connect what you are feeling, seeking or moving towards with gemstones traditionally associated with those intentions.
Or perhaps it introduces you to a stone you would never have chosen for yourself. For me, that is the heart of OMMANI.
We don’t just sell gemstone bracelets. We help you find the one that means something to you.
Ancient meaning. Modern life.
I wanted OMMANI to sit in a space between two worlds. I love the history, symbolism and traditions surrounding gemstones, but I also wanted to create jewellery that feels contemporary, beautifully made and easy to wear every day.
Each bracelet is assembled by hand, to order, in Hatton Garden — London’s historic jewellery quarter — and finished with an adjustable link so it fits you exactly.
I don’t want to make exaggerated promises about what a stone can do. The power, ultimately, is yours. The bracelet is simply a reminder of the intention you chose for yourself.
On the good days.
On the difficult ones.
And on the ordinary days when it’s easy to forget.
Sometimes something very small can remind us of something much bigger.
Find your intention.
Find your stone.
Carry it with you.
